Beautiful pet portraits - and the proceeds benefit animals awaiting a home at EHS
A wonderful local artist, Annie Graham, will paint a portrait of your pet for a donation to the Escondido Humane Society. Annie has a true gift for capturing the animals' emotions. Just look at the portrait she painted of EHS alum Casey (left)! You can get an amazing keepsake portrait of your pet while helping animals in need! A portrait of one animal close-up (without the frame) is $100; more animals or scenes will require a quote. If you would like a portrait, call (760) 888-2242 or (760) 888-2235.
Thank you to everyone who helped make our 16th annual Tails at Twilight gala a great success. Nearly 200 people and their well-dressed canine companions filled a sold-out room at Orfila Winery to help raise funds for animals currently in our care, as well as the thousands more who will come to the shelter this year in need of a safe haven and new homes.

Our Paws in the Park dog walk on March 28 was a resounding success in every way! An estimated 1,600 people and their canine companions - our best turnout on record - joined us at Kit Carson Park to help raise funding and awareness for animals awaiting a home at our shelter.
Everyone in attendance was treated to a day of fun and entertainment, including a K-9's Got Talent show, and wet T-shirt contest (for the dogs only!), games, Paw vendor expo and much more!

Save the date: Our Tails at Twilight gala is September 25
Our Tails at Twilight gala is set for 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, September 25, at the Old Richland Schoolhouse in San Marcos. Tickets are on sale NOW! Regular individual tickets are $100; individual VIP tickets are $200. A regular table for 10 is $1,000; VIP tables are $2,000. VIPs receive early admission, a sWAG bag, premier wines, first crack at the silent auction and premier seating. In addition, all table purchases are listed by name in the program.
Fine wines, delectable dining and our lovable four-legged friends will abound, all in support of the lifesaving programs at the Escondido Humane Society. And, of course, well-mannered canines are cordially invited, and dog butlers will be on hand to cater to their needs. To purchase tickets, call (760) 888-2240.

Join the Escondido Humane Society at the 4th annual BIG DOGS ROCK Adoption Event! More than 100 large-breed dogs will be available for adoption from San Diego's finest animal shelters and rescue agencies ... all in one place! The event is from 11 a.m. to
3 p.m. Sunday, August 8, at Fiesta Island (across from the off-leash Dog Beach in the OTL area.
