A local resident and compassionate supporter of animals has offered an unprecedented pledge to our community. The donor will match every donation earmarked toward debt relief and growth, dollar for dollar, up to $1 million. If successful, this campaign - dubbed Million Dollar Match - will allow us to purchase our current shelter on East Valley Parkway so we can have a permanent home to offer as a haven for our community's homeless animals.

We wish that every animal always had a safe home and was treated with kindness, love and compassion. Until that day, the Escondido Humane Society will offer them a safe haven. But just like the hundreds of animals currently in our care, we don't yet have a permanent home of our own - but now we have an amazing opportunity to change that.
Our current facility carries a mortgage of $1.01 million, and the clock is ticking. And now, we are asking you to help us own our home for all of the animals without one.
We know that times are tough ... we see it in the animals who come to our doors each day. But there is no better way to invest in animals than to double your investment.
